Brickfront Concierge · For Funeral Homes

Concierge for Funeral Homes

The warm, multilingual voice that answers your phone when your directors can't.

It answers in the language the family is speaking — English, French, Punjabi, Hindi, Mandarin, Urdu, and more — sends you the transcript within a minute, and rings your on-call director the moment a call is at-need. For funeral homes that compete on warmth and reputation.

Or call the demo line right now: (647) 250-0214. It answers as a funeral home.

Fit

Who I built this for

This is for you if
  • You run a funeral home where families come first, and you never want one to reach voicemail
  • Whether you run a single chapel or several locations
  • Your families speak more than one language and you currently lose the ones you can't serve
  • Your on-call rotation is wearing on the directors who carry it
  • You have considered an answering service like ASD but want something built for funeral homes specifically
The problem

The phone is the lifeline

The cost of a missed call at 3am isn't measured in voicemails. It's measured in families who called the next funeral home in the search results. The phone is the single point of failure for every funeral home, and every existing solution falls short in a specific way.

Voicemail is free and loses you half the calls. ASD-style answering services are competent but English-primary and the monthly bill scales with volume. On-call director rotation works at the cost of sleep, family time, and the long-term retention of the licensees you've trained. A receptionist plus voicemail after hours misses the calls that matter most.

What's actually needed is a voice that sounds like your funeral home — calm, unhurried, multilingual, and aware of which calls are urgent at-need and which can wait until morning. That's what I built.

How it works

How Concierge works

01

A family calls

The voice answers in seconds, in the language they're speaking, in the tone your funeral home is known for.

02

The conversation happens

Calm, unhurried, no rushed scripts. The voice gathers what's happened and takes the time the family needs. It takes the details, never the arrangements — those stay with your licensed director.

03

You get the briefing

A clean transcript and structured case file lands in your inbox within 60 seconds of call end. Urgent at-need calls ring the on-call director directly.

04

You decide what's next

Call the family back when you're ready, or let Concierge handle the follow-up. Either way, no family hits voicemail.

Hear it

Hear it for yourself

This is a live demo of Concierge answering as a sample funeral home, Hartwell Family Funeral Home. Speak to it the way a family would — report a loss, ask about pre-planning, or ask what something costs. It is a demonstration, not a real funeral home.

Prefer a real phone? Call (647) 250-0214 from any line — same voice, and you can hand the number to a colleague to try from the front desk.

I will ask to use your microphone, then you can speak as a family would.

The guardrails

What it will never do

  • It never makes arrangements and never advises a family — that work stays with your licensed director
  • It never quotes a final price
  • It tells every caller the line is recorded, and the recording and transcript are yours
  • The moment a call needs a human — distress, an emergency, anything off-script — it brings in your on-call director
The quiet cost

What does an unanswered call actually cost?

Most funeral homes I speak with lose a handful of families a year to voicemail — a call after midnight, a call while the director is at a service, a call in a language no one on rotation speaks. The number is usually quieter than people expect, and worse than it should be. A 60-second estimate, tuned for a funeral home, in your own numbers.

Pricing

Three tiers. Pick what fits.

Founding-member pricing locked for life for the first 10 funeral homes.

Flat monthly pricing, with no per-minute billing. Your families are never on a clock, and I only raise usage with you if your call volume runs well beyond what a funeral home normally sees.

All prices CAD. For scale: the median traditional service runs over $8,000 — one answered at-need call covers more than a year of Tier 1.

Setup

Setup and website

Scoped to what you already have.

Voice-only setup — $1,500

For funeral homes keeping their existing website: voice training on your home's tone, escalation rules, and soft-launch testing before a single family call. If you want the website rebuilt as well — single location, multi-location, or bilingual — I scope that with you on the discovery call. Hand-coded, mobile-first, built around your home.

Compliant price list

A compliant, multilingual price list — the online, in-language version funeral homes are increasingly required to post, showing the same prices the voice line quotes. $500 on its own, or included free with any Concierge plan. See a six-language sample.

Founding member setup waiver

The first 10 funeral homes signing annual prepay on any tier get setup waived entirely. For founding members who prefer monthly billing, setup is discounted 50%.

No commitment

The 30-day pilot

Before you commit to anything, you run a 30-day pilot. No setup fee. No credit card. Concierge handles your after-hours calls for one month while you decide whether it's right for your funeral home.

  • Day 1 to 7: voice training and soft launch
  • Day 7 onward: live with full transcripts to your inbox
  • Day 25: conversion call to choose your tier (or walk away)

If at the end of 30 days the math doesn't work for you, you tell me to walk and there's no cost. The only commitment is honesty — if it's not right for you, it's not right for you.

Why Brickfront

Why Brickfront

Concierge for Funeral Homes is built by one person. My name is Brent Thompson. I'm 22, I run Brickfront Studio out of Canada, and for the next 12 months I work with funeral homes and nothing else. No enterprise consulting, no horizontal SaaS distractions.

Every demo, every onboarding, every voice-training session for the first 50 customers — I run personally. When you call the line on this page, you get me. When you need a change to how the voice handles a specific kind of call, I make that change. When you refer a peer, I thank you personally and I send a handwritten card.

That model breaks past a certain customer count. I know that. But I'd rather build the right business slowly than the wrong business quickly. If you're a funeral home that values craftsmanship, you'll recognise what I'm doing here.

Questions

Common questions

You don't have to — and I won't ask you to rip anything out. ASD is the gold standard for human-operated answering. Where it stops is language: beyond Spanish, coverage essentially ends. No Punjabi, no Mandarin, no Cantonese, no Italian. Concierge answers inside your brand, in the languages your families actually speak, at a flat monthly rate that doesn't climb with call volume. Run it after hours alongside ASD for 30 days and compare the transcripts. Worth a side-by-side?
They will — and they're never misled about it. The voice is calm, patient, and unhurried. It tells callers the line is recorded, it answers plainly if anyone asks what it is, it never makes arrangements, and the moment a call needs a human it brings in your on-call director. What matters at 3am is that someone answers with care and nothing gets lost. I'd rather you hear it than take my word for it — the live demo above answers as a sample funeral home.
The arrangement does, and it always should — I don't touch that. The voice answers the phone, gathers a name, a number, and what's happened, and makes sure your on-call licensed director is reached right away. It never makes arrangements, never advises a family, and never quotes a final price. That's the same role an answering service like ASD plays for thousands of homes — I just do it in more languages and inside your brand. Your licensed director stays at the centre of every case. The voice only makes sure no family reaches voicemail before they get to that director.
I'd push back gently. Most homes already pay $200–$500 a month for after-hours answering that covers English, sometimes Spanish, and nothing else. Concierge is $599 for founding members, and the arithmetic that matters isn't monthly: the median traditional service runs over $8,000, and four out of five families never call a second funeral home. One answered 3am call covers more than a year of this. The pilot is free for 30 days — no setup, no card — so the math proves itself on your own calls before you spend anything.
I built it to be the opposite of corporate. It is founder-led and hands-on: when you call, you get me, not a call centre. The voice carries your funeral home's warmth, in the languages your families speak, so the technology never gets in the way of the personal attention your reputation is built on.
The voice doesn't go live until you've personally heard and approved every greeting, escalation, and core conversation — I test it with you before it ever takes a family's call. Every call generates a transcript and recording that land in your inbox within a minute, so if anything sounds off, you see it before the next family does. And the 30-day pilot is specifically designed so you can stop it without consequence.
Of course. Send your team the live demo on this page and the pricing above — and I'll email you a one-page summary you can forward. The founding rate covers the first 10 funeral homes because that's how many I can onboard personally; that capacity is the only limit on it. No pressure from me. I'd rather you decide with everything in front of you.
Fair question. Brickfront is bootstrapped, profitable on services revenue from non-funeral clients, and your monthly goes into product development — not investor returns. More practically: every transcript and recording is delivered to your inbox as the calls happen, so your records live with you, not behind my login. You can export everything and leave at any time. There's no lock-in beyond the annual prepay if you choose that route.
